Meat and Vegetable Tomato Sauce

Yield: ~5 cups

Method

  1. Brown meats and drain, set aside.
  2. Cook onions in same pan, then add all vegetables except spinach.
  3. When softened, add spinach, garlic, and spices.
  4. Add salt and pepper, cook 5 mins.
  5. Add tomatoes and simmer 3 hours.

Notes

  • This sauce works well with the baked ziti recipe. Double this recipe to fit requirements.
