Baked Ziti
Ingredients

Yield: ~1 9x13 inch pan
Method
- Preheat oven to 375F. Grease a 9x13 pan.
- In a large pot, heat
olive oil, then addmeatsand sear2-3 mins. - Flip
meatsand sear again . Break up into bits. - Cook
meatson medium until fat renders andmeatis slightly browned. - Remove
meatsand add insweet onion. Cook withsalt & pepperuntil almost done, then addgarlicand briefly fry. - Add back
meats, then addcrushed tomatoes. Simmer5 mins. Add0.75 tbspsugar to reduce tomato acidity if needed. - Meanwhile, cook
zitiin salted water until slightly under al-dente. - Combine
cooked zitiwithsauce.Separately, combine all cheese. - In greased pan, add half of the
pasta and sauce. Layerricottaandcheese mixon top. - Top with remaining ingredients.
- Bake uncovered
35 minsor until cheese is browned. - Cool at least 15 mins.
