Yield: ~3 cups

Method

  1. Preheat oven to broil
  2. Broil tomatillos and garlic for 12 mins, flipping halfway through.
  3. Transfer tomatillos and peeled garlic to blender.
  4. Add ground chiles, cumin, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Blend until smooth. Add water to thin if needed.
  6. Add Tabasco to taste.

Notes

  • Sub Chiles de Arbol for New Mexico to make less spicy.
  • Sub tomatillos for tomatoes if absolutely required.
